Classes Offered

2 year old ONLY

A class that fosters basic ballet skills, motor skills, and basic tumbling skills in a fun and structured environment.

3 year old ONLY

baby ballet  [noun]  bā-bē  ba-lā 

A class that teaches basic ballet technique, movement skills, and ballet's terminology in a fun and structured environment.

Ages 4 and up

ballet  [noun]  ba-lā 

A class that teaches the fundamentals of dance. Dancers will learn ballet terms and technique while building the fundamentals for other skills.

Ages 10 and up (upon teacher approval)

pointe  [noun]  pwaⁿ(n)t 

An advancement class of ballet taught with pointe shoes. Shoes are only to be purchased after teacher approval.

For Kindergarten students

creative jazz  [noun]   krē-ˈā-tiv  jaz

A class that includes stretching, strengthening, rhythm, and coordination movement skills to prepare dancers for a technical jazz class.

Ages 6 and up

jazz  [noun]  jaz

A class that includes stretching, strengthening, and skills for turning, jumping, and various combinations to help dancers grow in skills to an upbeat style music.

Ages 10 and up

lyrical  [noun]  lir-i-kəl

A class that helps dancers express themselves in an extension of their ballet training. It incorporates strength, technique, and performance of the interpretation of the music. Dancers MUST be enrolled in ballet class.

Ages 10 and up

contemporary  [noun]  kən-ˈtem-pə-ˌrer-ē

A class that uses more strength and incorporates floor work to express the movement. This class is an extension of the dancers' ballet technique. 

Dance MUST be enrolled in ballet class.

Ages 4 and up

tap  [noun]  tap

A class that teaches rhythm and movement while wearing shoes with a metal tap.

2nd Grade and up

clogging  [noun]  klȯg-iŋ 

A similar class to tap that involves rhythm and technique and follows a down beat style rhythm. Clogging shoes have an additional tap riveted on top of the single tap that creates a "jingle" sound.

2nd Grade and up

hip hop  [noun]  hip-ˌhäp

A strong hitting movement style class that involves stretching, strengthening and incorporates coordination skills.

Recommended for 7th grade and up interested in trying out for the high school area drill team

A class that includes stretching and strengthening and skills for turning, jumping, and various combinations. Dancers also learn the skills for drill team kicking preparation and splits.
